Okay, so you guys know Brandon, the hoster, correct? He's actually a pretty good host, but the thing is, I misinterpretated his internet connection. About only two days ago, Brandon's internet went downhill. I do not know if it is his router or ISP, or anything, but I know it always makes the server crash. He is trying to get a new ISP so the server will work better, but I highly doubt he will get a new ISP. His computer is really good to host on, which is why I used his computer instead of mine, or Hamachi, but his internet is just a problem. Yesterday, his internet crashed for five hours and had to re-route everything. It is problems for the server. :[ We all know there is nothing we can do to fix his internet problem unless he gets a new ISP, or we get a new hoster.

The server gets lag spikes because of the events. I will host more private and secret events so there is no lag spikes. The amount of people in one map just make is lag a little, plus the summonings of Zakum and Horntail. I will never do an event w/ multiple bosses again because of this problem.

Thanks for notifying everyone, Robert. Don't worry, nobody is mad at you or Brandon. I've had a ****ty router connectivity these past days as well. Don't stress yourself over it, and the event thing would be helpful. Thanks, and try to limit the players in an event to dissipate the lag. You can mark off who participated in one event and then let them sit out of the next, that way we can limit the number of people in an event and make it better [:

Robert, after reading your post several times, I've realized you never explained how long it will take for it to be back up, and also that obtaining a new ISP would be a pain, but why don't you just reroute all of the files and host it onto your computer? That way we can atleast play, even with a little lag and such, rather than do something else? We love this server, all of us die-hard fans love your server so much, and I know that it takes a lot of dedication and effort to keep it running, but for the sake of all of us, PLEASE host it elsewhere until Brandon's ISP is changed or he gets it back up and running again so we can all play.

i have the same internet speed, 10mbps, I did like ten !eventslimes and it didnt lag much. I'd help you host, but my computer is ****ty. I'm using my bro's. My own computer, which is better, is for some reason not receiving an internet connection. I'll post this computer's specs and you tell me if I can host or not. If I can, I gladly will. I can keep the computer on 24/7.

Robert, I suggest that you find a new hoster just until Brandon fixes his ISP problem..I don't think it's fair that everyone has to pay until he fixes it..we can always revert back to him once he fixes it, but I'm so anxious to play this server and all the crashing is driving me mad! Please give this idea some thought.

I've given your idea a lot of though mrcb, and I must say your idea is grand. Just transfer the hoster back whenever Brandon fixes his problem. We all are anticipating the moment the server is back on, and it IS the weekend ><. Try to fix it by tonight, thanks in advance.

i've been so bored the past 6 hrs -_- nothing on T.V most of my friends grounded..ive just been browsing the web waiting for server to come up and he hasn't even tried to get it back up..

He hasn't even made a message to get it back up. I honestly have to say that this server is the best one I've played on so far, but I'm starting to change my mind. Every private server has its flaws, but this one is just sad. Don't take this the wrong way, but I believe that if you're going to spend the time to make a private server, at least put some effort for when there's trouble. If anything, you should've atleast told us an estimated time of when it will be back up, or responded somewhat to this entire topic. If you haven't noticed, many of us are bored to death and have waited very patiently for it to come up. Please, for God's sake, PLEASE host it via your computer Robert.

He hasn't even been on the forums.
Meaning he isn't at home, or doing something else.
You can't blame him for his life not revolving around the server.
It's a community service thing, he doesn't have to do it, he's not even getting paid for it.

I tottaly agree that Robert should at least get us in the loop with whats going on, but really guys. Marik has a great point, Robert is a busy guy, considering he does work on this server all the time, not to mention his real life, you just never know. Don't sit at your computers like mindless zombies complaining about how the server is offline and put down Robert because of it, there are many alternative things. Go outside, play a console video game, talk on the phone, heck, maybe even play another server temporialy until this problem is fixed.

Robert, I dont know if you are reading this, but, you have my full support on any action you must take with this situation. And it sound like the hoster may need to contact ISP and talk it out and see if there is anything they can do, you might even have to get a person go out and inspect it.

The reason I'm not responding is because what you people are saying, is just basing the computer on their ISP. If someone were to host a game, I don't want a ****ty Windows 1996 with .5 GB of RAM hosting the server just because it has a good ISP. Brandon has a good ISP, except that either his router is broken, or his ISP is going down to either update their thing, or his connection line is ****ed,

You need to learn to trust people venessa, what could he possibly steal the server for? He doesn't even want it most likely, and if he were to **** it up then whatever, if Robert has a spare db on his or Brandon's computer, then we can just fix it. And you misspelled their with they're on your previous post.
